What’s on the Workbench? – March 2024

IMG_3755

What’s on the workbench? When I took that photo of the workbench above, as you can see, a load of crap was on it. I’ve been getting more into airbrushing. I know there are several ways to “Weather” rolling stock but I wanted to try weathering with the airbrush. I dug out a couple of my vintage models from the 70s and tried a few different blends of paints. I haven’t done this for over 10 years.

Here is a before and after of the bogies on the parcel van.

I’m still trying different settings on the compressor to get the airflow right.

Anyway here are some of the results.

I know less is more but I really wanted to see what is “too much”

I do want to create a few really filthy locos, but I can see the paint is “spattering” on the side of the Deltic.

A quick wipe with a damp cloth and it’s ready to start again.

Thanks for checking in.
